Sophie Prozument is in her second year on the Paws for Patrick Young Professional Board and lives in New York City. She is a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where she has developed strong skills in prioritization, leadership, compassion, and prioritization. Sophie holds a BSN from the University of Iowa.

Her passion for Paws for Patrick’s mission is deeply personal. After overcoming her own mental health struggles, Sophie became committed to breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness. Animals have always played a meaningful role in her healing, especially her family dog, Ollie, who brought immediate comfort and improvement to her well-being. Inspired by that connection, Sophie knew she wanted to be part of an organization that brings the same support to others. She is honored to contribute to Paws for Patrick’s growth and impact.

Sophie shares her home with her cat, Frankie.
