Shelby is a founding director and Paws Fore a Cause co-chair for Paws for Patrick.

She is the Founder of the Silvernail Foundation where she established the Silvernail Scholarship program to provide access to education and remove barriers. Shelby also serves on the board of directors for the Washington Cabinet of the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association.

Shelby worked as a Physical Therapist at Spaulding Rehabilitation, a world leader in advanced rehabilitation treatment and research.
