Julie McConnell
Program Manager
Julie McConnell, Project Management Professional PMP, had a career in international business, working for a Fortune 100 multinational and a Chicago-based software company now owned by IBM, before stepping back professionally to raise her three daughters. During this time Julie volunteered extensively at school, at church, on boards and in the community. A recent empty nester and now mother of three young adults, she was inspired by the story and mission of Paws for Patrick to join the staff as Program Manager for the Emotional Support Animal, Therapy Dog and Facility Dog Programs.
Julie earned her BA in German Language and Literature from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and an MBA in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in Glendale, AZ. Julie also completed a course at Northwestern University in Not-for-Profit Management for Faith Leaders.
Outside of work, Julie loves to read, cook, listen to live music, walk with her husband, Joe, and hang out with her three daughters Lucia, Carly and Paige. She has served as an election judge in every election since November 2020. A former triathlete, Julie still follows professional cycling and has ridden her bike across Iowa six times.
