Gus Gant
Young Professionals Board Member
Gus Gant is an alumnus of Loyola Marymount University where he majored in psychology and minored in health and society. He has since then worked with the YMCA of Greater Seattle as a case manager for their Children’s Crisis Response System, working with children in crisis to assist with de-escalation and mental health skills, while working with the family to connect them to long term mental health support. He worked there for 2-1/2 years and is currently working on applying to get a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Gus currently lives in Seattle with his 3-year-old rescue dog Bitsy and is passionate about providing mental health support and the ways in which animal connection is a strong advocate for the ways in which a connection with an animal can provide comfort and support for an individual’s mental health.
