Dan Maigler

Dan Maigler has been working with young people with mental health issues since 1999. Mr. Maigler currently serves as a Social Worker at Lake Forest High School. In this role since 2008, this is where Mr. Maigler has had the opportunity to work with Patrick Roemer, who taught him about the powerful impact of emotional support animals.  He provides individual and group counseling to students as well as consultations for parents and teachers.

In addition, Mr. Maigler has been a therapist in private practice since 2005.  Between his private practice and his work with Paws for Patrick, Dan has written over 150 Emotional Support Animal letters, and he provides continuing education seminars for families and therapists who want to learn more about the ESA process.  Prior to his current work, Mr. Maigler served as a Guidance Counselor and Therapist at a variety of schools and organizations.

Mr. Maigler holds a BA in History from Illinois Wesleyan University, an MSEd in Education Administration from Northern Illinois University, and an MSW in Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago.
